A Museum for the Future: 250th Anniversary Legacy Challenge
For a limited time, a group of generous donors has established a $500,000 matching fund to inspire MCHF supporters. These funds will match new, previously undisclosed, or increased planned gift commitments at 10% of their estimated value, up to $50,000 per gift. For example, if you document a planned gift with an estimated value of $70,000, the MCHF will receive $70,000 from your estate after your lifetime, plus a $7,000 matching gift to support our mission immediately.
This opportunity is available until the $500,000 matching pool is fully allocated or on December 31, 2025, at the conclusion of the MCHF’s celebration of the United States Marine Corps’ 250th Anniversary.

How Does the 250th Anniversary Legacy Challenge Work?
- Include MCHF in your will, trust, IRA, or other beneficiary designation.
- Document your planned gift intention by contacting Gayle Union at union@marineheritage.org or 703-586-7463.
- Unlock a matching gift valued at 10% of your future gift (up to $50,000) to support MCHF’s mission today.
There is no minimum contribution required to unlock the matching gift.
